ARCHIPELAGO VILLA II

This former summer residence situated on an island in the Stockholm archipelago was in a derelict state when we first saw it. Our clients asked us to transform it into a classic country home which would meet the needs of a young family.

The property was gutted and we sensitively reconfigured the space into a four-bed family home. A new open-plan kitchen became a central feature together with a beautiful glass veranda. Replicated old panelling throughout as well as a mindful selection of hardwearing materials, such as heavy linen and timber flooring, made it suitable for children.

The result was a classic and modern space, which well reflects the historic feel of a ‘turn of the century’ summer house charm.
